Est. 1898 · 7e arrondissement · Left Bank
Sixty-four individually designed rooms two minutes from the Eiffel Tower — quietly impeccable hospitality, the intimacy of a private hôtel particulier.
The House
Founded in 1898 as the Hôtel de l'Europe et de la Paix, our building on Rue de l'Université has welcomed travellers in the unhurried manner of a private Parisian residence for more than a century. Independently owned by the Marek family since 1962, the house has been carefully restored across three generations — the limestone façade, classified by the Ville de Paris, still rises above the street as it did in 1898.
Inside, sixty-four rooms and suites are arranged across five floors, four of them with direct views of the Eiffel Tower rising four and a half minutes' walk away. Housekeeping numbers twenty-two; nightly turndown is laid at 19:00. Our concierge team — trained at the École Hôtelière de Paris, fluent in six languages, with an average tenure of eleven years — is the reason 1,200 travel advisors in forty-seven countries book direct with us.
We are a four-star property, and we mean it: refined, never showy; personal, never theatrical.

The Concierge Desk
“Our job is not to recite Paris back to you. It is to listen — for an hour, if we have to — until we understand the Paris you came for, and then to make it appear. A table at the right bistro. A gallery opened an hour early. The cousin's apartment keys, dropped at the airport.”
Eleven-year average tenure across the desk. Fluent in six languages. Average reply in seven minutes, by WhatsApp or email, daily until 23:00 CET.
